I have a confession...

I am embarrassed, but I am adding another project to my 2023 #wip pile...eeeeek!

My mind has been in overdrive with ideas ever since the year started and I cannot contain it any longer. After much deliberation, and much coercion from just simply scrolling on Instagram, I have decided to make a temperature project! I will not commit to a blanket, but I can commit to an accessory. A big one perhaps, if you ask me.

Currently I am being inspired by color on every angle with the #noshadesofgrey challenge I mentioned previously, and I decided to go for a temperature scarf on the whim. I need to liven up my wardrobe, and I believe this yearlong project can spruce both my closet and mood.

For my temperature project, I decided to use Two of Wands x Lion Brand’s Color Theory for a neutral based accessory. This will be my first time using this yarn, but I have heard nothing but good things about the fiber and color palette. To be honest the color palette is exactly what drew me to it as it is ingeniously curated.

I decided to follow Lion Brand’s temperature breakdown from the Temperature Blanket Crochet kit. Although I am completing a smaller project, feel free to grab this kit for yourself and document your year in yarn. I bought Color Theory on sale + used JANEXTRA30 at checkout for an additional discount off! You can also use this code on yarn and kits until tomorrow!

Until my yarn arrives, I will be patiently waiting for my delivery and documenting the past temperatures in my area. I hope this is a project you can join in on, and if you do, do not wait too long or else there will be lots of catching up to do! 😊
