Maverick Tee Crochet Pattern

fashion, handmade, crochetNatalia McHayleComment

About a month ago I sat at my desk at work and received a notification that I had just won (5) skeins of Premier Yarns new Rodeo cotton blend yarn.  You can imagine the little dance I did in my chair...I was ecstatic!  It proved to be one of the best weeks of this year, but I'll share more about that another time.

Maverick 4.jpg

Once I received my happy mail, I knew I wanted to make a garment.  Premier's Rodeo yarn is a worsted cotton blend made up of 85% cotton and 15% polyester. As with most cotton yarns, it does have the tendency to split, but it stitches up beautifully.  It has a nice drape and holds shape very well.  I mean what more can you ask for!? I played around with the colors and these three stuck out to me the most.  I wasn't sure how I wanted the colors to play into each other. But as I thought about it over a couple days, color blocks seemed to be the most fitting.

I wanted to create something quick, easy and fun. Quick to grab out your closet without second guessing what to style it with.  You can pair this with jeans, shorts, over a dress, or a midi skirt as I did in my little shoot. Easy to make for all my makers out there who love a little mindless crocheting while Netflixing. And lastly, fun experimenting with all the fun colors our yarn world has to offer.

I hope you have as much fun making the Maverick Tee as I did, in which I so greatly appreciate everyone who participated in helping me choose a name. Continue reading for the free pattern. I can't wait to see your #wips!
